SUCCESS STORIES

At FEPCO, we are proud to share the projects where we have demonstrated our expertise and commitment. Each case reflects how our solutions for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair have contributed to improving the efficiency, safety, and operational continuity of our clients.

(INFORMATION PENDING)

SOLAR PARK

Project details:

  • Located at the FEPCO Cartagena plant.
  • A project developed to reduce the carbon footprint and promote the use of renewable energy in operations.
  • Installed capacity: 400 kWp (kilowatt peak), equivalent to 100% of the energy consumed by the plant in the manufacturing process.
  • Solar panels: 727 units.
  • Covered area: 3,000 square meters (32,300 square feet).
  • This project optimizes operating costs and positions FEPCO as a leader in sustainable practices within the industry.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate Social Responsibility Committee

Our company has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, which is responsible for gathering the information needed to prepare the Sustainability Report, which details the company’s best social, environmental, and economic practices. Minutes are also kept of the meetings, recording the ideas and proposals aimed at continuously improving our CSR practices.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

FEPCO has prioritized five (5) of the seventeen (17) Sustainable Development Goals, defined by the United Nations General Assembly, considered to be of greatest relevance to our practices.

Despite the pandemic situation, the staff turnover rate was only 0.3%, where salaries and contracts for our workers were maintained.
Protecting the health of workers has been our priority, so biosecurity protocols, telemedicine, psychosocial support, and self-care activities were implemented with 100% staff coverage.
With activities to mitigate environmental impact following the PREAD guidelines and the measurement of carbon footprint, there was a reduction in energy consumption of 15% and water consumption of 2%.
The company maintained its operations without closing its plants, preserving strong relationships throughout its supply and sales chain so as not to affect the organization's economy.
We continue to invest in innovation so that workers can be the proponents of new ideas, participating with hundreds of ideas each year, with an investment in science and technology of nearly 600 million to renew machinery and protect employment.
ENVIRONMENT

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Through our potable water efficiency program, we promote responsible consumption by installing and improving water supply systems in sinks, handwashing stations, and restrooms. In our production operations, an optimized internal equipment maintenance program has allowed us to reduce water consumption by 229 m³ (228,667 liters) annually, reaffirming our commitment to environmental management at the national level.

Regarding non-hazardous waste, 30 tons were generated last year, 75% of which consisted of recyclable materials. Thanks to our internal environmental management, this waste was diverted from the Doña Juana landfill and reintegrated into production processes through recycling centers, thus supporting the work of waste pickers in the city.

As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and future generations, we promoted programs throughout the year focused on the efficient use of natural resources. These included initiatives for the responsible management of drinking water, electricity, and raw materials necessary for our operations, achieving significant reductions in consumption and greater optimization of their use.

Through our potable water efficiency program, we promote responsible consumption in everyday activities by installing and improving water supply systems in sinks, washbasins, and restrooms. In our production operations, thanks to an optimal internal equipment maintenance program, we achieved a reduction of 229 m³ (228,667 liters) annually, reaffirming our commitment to environmental management at the national level.

With our energy efficiency program, we mitigated the impact of the 87% increase in production and the implementation of new activities, such as the coating of parts and accessories with C-PLATE welding. We implemented technological improvements—such as more efficient equipment and light-based presence sensors—as well as engineering controls, which allowed energy consumption to increase by only 23%, reaching 6,245 MWh, compared to the 4,786 MWh recorded in 2016.

HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK

Key activities for Corporate Social Responsibility Certification are continuously developed, led through the management and development of the HSEQ process, with a significant impact on the company’s personnel.
